Imagine how many different ways this photo could have been taken: a man riding a bicycle on a back street in Kunming, China with a rooster in the basket. Many photographers are more concerned about how they look when they are taking a photo but the most important thing about a photo is what it communicates to others. Look at the perspective of this photo and where the photographer had to be to make it. The photographer had to be running along with the bicycle looking over the basket almost as it he were in the bicycle seat. And sure, you can bet the people watching were laughing and making jokes but now go back to the photo. The feeling of movement. The look of the rooster. The one hand on the handlebar that gives a sense of the rider.
